Rain data is of the many measurement taken by weather station. Sensor IRG02 used to measure the amount of rain fall to earth this is called precipitation. Too much or too little precipitation can cause a serious problem for living thing so measuring rain fall. So this sensor records each amount of rain it may be single and over time fall to compare and analysis from history.

Using IRG02 we can easily confine about upcoming problem of drought or flood to weather forecast.

Product Description

IRG02 tipping bucket design basically provides an operation of a magnetic-sense switch. This switch enclosed by an electronic recording equipment to automatically obtain recorded rain fall. Drain holes plotted at surface of IRG02 helps to drain out water collected by ran gauge that is why IRG02 allow unlimited measurement.

To measure accurate precipitation fallen on earth rain gauge contains several component. A magnet held on top of bucket until it has feel up to the calibration point i.e. .001 inch, as this amount acquired magnet will release its hold cause to bucket to tip. Collected water goes to funnel by drainage. And as bucket tip take place the reed switch activated to senses amount of rain fall and transmit data to data logger.

IRG02 is compatible with our data loggers IDL-M and IDL-A.it can be used with any third party data logger having digital input option.
